What is Comprehensive Car Insurance?
Comprehensive Car Insurance is our highest level of insurance at Bingle. It’s car insurance that can provide cover for a range of insured events such as accidental loss or damage caused by driving accidents, nature, theft or malicious damage. It also includes Liability Cover for accidental damage to someone else’s car or property caused by the use of your car.
What does Comprehensive Car Insurance cover?
Hail and storm damage
Our Comprehensive Car Insurance covers accidental loss or damage to your car caused by a storm or hail so you can drive with confidence no matter the weather.
Theft of your car
We will repair or replace your car if it's stolen, vandalised, or damaged by break-ins, theft and attempted theft.
Fire damage
Comprehensive Car Insurance covers accidental loss or damage caused by fire. This includes both fires caused by collisions and bush fires.
Flood damage
If your car has been damaged due to flood, Bingle Comprehensive Car Insurance covers the costs of repair or replacement.
Accidental Damage
We will cover accidental loss or damage to your car and legal liability of up to $20 million if you accidentally damage someone else’s car or property.

Accessories and modifications
Our Comprehensive Car Insurance automatically insures most legal modifications and accessories that are permanently fitted to cars (i.e. tinted windows, sound systems etc). You don't need to let us know/list these specifically on your policy. Exclusions are listed when you get a quote.
Baby capsules
We automatically cover the cost to replace baby capsules or child seats (to a maximum of $500 per item for any one incident) if they're damaged when your car is involved in an accident or incident, or if your car is stolen.

What’s the difference between Comprehensive and Third Party Insurance?
Comprehensive Car Insurance covers you for accidental damage or loss of your car as well as damage to someone else's vehicle or property up to $20 million.
Third Party Insurance covers you for accidental damage that the use of your car causes to someone else’s property or car. You are not covered for any damage to your own car or for injuries to other people.
Optional extras for Bingle Comprehensive Car Insurance
With Bingle, you can add optional extras to your policy when you get a quote, when you’re midway through your policy term, or at renewal.
Windscreen and Window Glass Cover
Optional extra cover for your windscreen and windows means we will repair or replace your damaged windscreen and window glass without asking you to pay an excess – including your sunroof if you’ve got one.
Note this excess free claim only applies when your claim is limited to insured events where your windscreen or window glass is the only damage you’re claiming.

Keep Mobile
Add optional Keep Mobile cover and while your car is out of action due to an incident covered by your policy, we’ll provide you with a hire car that we think is a similar make and model to your car so that you feel right at home.
Plus, Keep Mobile cover comes with copycat cover. This means that while we settle your claim, you will receive the same insurance cover for whatever car is being used in place of your car (limited to its market value). Whether the car belongs to your mum, your mate, or a car share provider, we don’t mind as long as you have their consent.

New for Old Car Replacement
Who doesn’t love that new-car feeling? If your car is less than three years old at the start of your latest period of cover, and you’ve taken out optional New for Old cover, we’ll replace your car with a new car of the same model and make (where available) when you car is determined by us to be a total loss.

In order to recieve the benefit of an optional extra, you need to have your choice of extras added to your policy before the incident you’re claiming for. You cannot add an optional extra after an incident and have damage or loss covered for that same event.

Bingle Comprehensive Car Insurance is our highest level of protection. It covers not only covers you for accidental loss or damage to your car, but also covers liability for accidental damage your car causes to someone else’s property or car.
If you only want to be covered for accidental damage to someone else's car or property, then Third Party Property cover may be for you.
Also, although Third Party Property insurance does not cover damage to your car, it may save you having to pay their potentially expensive repair bills.

Bingle will insure your car for its market value. Your car includes keys and accessories or modifications permanently fitted to your car. Read the PDS or start a quote to see exclusions.
Market value means the amount that the market would pay for the car. It includes many factors such as your car's:
- make
- model
- age
- general condition, and
- kilometres travelled.
We may use recognised industry publications to help us calculate the market value.
Market value excludes costs of rego, Compulsory Third Party insurance and any stamp duty, transfer fees, dealer warranty costs and dealer delivery.
Depending on the age of your car and your policy cover, you may be able to use our New for Old option.
